This scan is carried out between 10 to 16 weeks of pregnancy.

The main purpose is to confirm an interuterine pregnancy, if a single or multiple pregnancy, and to establish the gestational age. The scan also assesses fetal heart beat and fetal activity - this is always reassuring for the Mother.

The standard fetal Measurements are taken and you will be presented with a written Report and several black and white images of your Baby.

The optimal time to preform a dating scan is between 11 and 14 weeks. We recommend that you present our Report and findings to your General Practationer.
