34 weeks' image

At 32 weeks the baby is at its upper limit for a 4D scan. This is because there is less room around the baby for the special 4D software to focus clearly on the face and body.

At the Hendon Clinic we have been known to successfully preform 4D scans right up to 36 weeks of pregnancy ( 28 weeks for twins ). But these successful scans depend a great deal on the position of the baby.

Please note that sometimes these scans will not be as clear as the ones that you see in the books or on the web sites. These scans have usually been performed at the optimum time which is 26 - 29 weeks.
